HIPS is a free self-diagnostic online tool developed for companies to gauge how well they are performing in terms of productivity against their peers in the same industry.
The calculator module within HIPS is a simple 3-step process with 9 financial figures such as labour cost, operating profit and fixed assets. Companies can obtain their productivity scorecard of 10 key indicators that illustrate an organisation's holistic productivity performance and benchmark against industry peers.
HIPS is designed within SPRING's Integrated Management of Productivity Activities (IMPACT) framework. It is developed by Singapore Business Federation with DP Information Group as a knowledge partner.
The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is the apex business chamber championing the interests of the Singapore business community in the areas of trade, investment and industrial relations. It represents 22,500 companies, as well as key local and foreign business chambers.
SBF is the bridge between Singapore’s business community and the Government in creating and enhancing a conductive business environment. It represents the business community in building bilateral, regional and multi-lateral relationships. SBF is also key provider of capability-building initiatives and services for Singapore businesses.
The Federation was then established on 1 April 2002, with the aim of representing the business community’s interests both locally and overseas. Under the SBF Act, all Singapore-registered companies with share capital of S$0.5 million and above are members of SBF.
